Bees, Birds & Butterflies, Brading Crescent
We are working with residents on Brading Crescent and the surrounding area to develop the ‘Bees, Birds & Butterflies’ project. The project is currently in phase one of three phases.
This is the alpha testing stage at two small sites using scientific methods issued by the RSPB for counting bird populations, methods that builds on J.E. Eckert’s 1933 study measuring foraging frequency of bees and Big Butterfly Count’s reference sheet for identifying butterfly populations in a given area.
In addition, the secondary objectives of this project are to:
- build social cohesion between different communities
- connect corporates with CSR projects
- increase the well-being of individuals in the area
- provide two London Living Wage apprenticeships.
